Privacy policy
Draft placeholder: to be reviewed before launch.
Who we are
SideQuest is run by [company name, registered address, company number]. Contact: [privacy email]. We are the data controller.
What we collect and why
- Email address: to keep your place in the queue and email you about launch. Lawful basis: consent (you pre-sign up).
- Your optional answers (first name, gender, who you want to meet, age range, area, favourite dates, whether you’d book, how you heard about us): to plan venues and launch. Lawful basis: consent. Every question can be skipped.
- Where you came from (UTM tags, the referring site, who referred you): to know which channels work. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
Your ADHD answer
Whether you identify as ADHD is special category (health-related) data. We only store it if you tick the explicit consent box. It is kept in a separate table from your marketing data, used only in aggregate to understand who we’re building for, never shared, and never used for advertising or sent to Meta or any ad platform. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [privacy email], and we will delete it.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
With your permission we use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure our ads. They only run if you press “Accept” in the cookie banner. We send Meta only two events: that someone joined the list and that they finished the questions, with a scrambled (hashed) copy of the email so Meta can match it. We never send your answers, gender, age or ADHD status. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.
Who we share data with
- Supabase (database hosting, [region])
- Vercel (website hosting)
- Meta, only if you accept cookies, and only as described above
How long we keep it
Until launch plus [12] months, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or export your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing [privacy email]. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
